A site-plan DWG, a usable 3D model where available, elevations, landscape plans, scope, due date and budget guidance allow a much more accurate quotation.
The essential information
The more clearly a project is defined at quotation stage, the more accurately CAD Studio can assess modelling, visualisation, photography, animation, design and interactive requirements.
You do not need every item below to begin a conversation, but the following information creates the strongest starting point.
Site plan in DWG format
A current site plan in DWG format is normally the most useful base file. It helps us understand boundaries, building positions, roads, levels, staging, orientation and the overall scale of the development.
Where a DWG is not available, a clearly scaled PDF can still be reviewed, although additional setup or modelling may be required.
3D CAD model—FBX preferred where possible
An FBX model can reduce modelling time when it is clean, current and aligned with the issued drawings. Revit, SketchUp, 3ds Max and other model formats may also be useful depending on the project.
A supplied model is treated as source information rather than an automatically finished asset. It still needs to be checked for geometry, materials, levels, missing elements and compatibility with the final production workflow.
Elevations, floorplans and sections
These drawings confirm façade composition, window positions, internal layouts, ceiling heights, roof forms and vertical relationships. Sections are particularly important on sloping sites and complex multi-level developments.
Landscape plans
Landscape design can significantly affect the final visual quality and the perceived value of the development. Plans should identify planting, paving, walls, pools, furniture, lighting, public space and any significant existing vegetation.
Materials and finishes
Provide the most current façade, roofing, glazing, interior and landscape specifications available. Samples, schedules, supplier links and reference images are all useful.
Scope of work
Tell us what you believe is required: for example, exterior and interior renders, aerial integration, animation, drone footage, brochure design, a development website, interactive sales tools, a showroom or a scale model.
If the final scope is uncertain, describe the development, intended audience and sales process. CAD Studio can then recommend an appropriate pathway.
Due date and launch programme
Include the required completion date and the public marketing launch date. If deliverables are needed in stages, identify the priority sequence.
Budget guidance
An optional budget range helps us propose a realistic campaign rather than preparing a scope that is either too limited or unnecessarily extensive. Budget guidance does not lock the client into a figure; it helps establish the right level of production.
What happens after submission
CAD Studio reviews the information, identifies missing dependencies and confirms whether a meeting is needed. The quotation can then separate core deliverables, optional additions and any assumptions affecting price or programme.
