Forsyth Barr Tower Queenstown
CAD Studio is proud to showcase its architectural visualisation and property marketing work for Forsyth Barr Tower Queenstown, a premium A-Grade commercial office development at Five Mile Lane, Frankton.
Scheduled for completion in October 2027, the five-level building has been designed to take full advantage of its Queenstown setting, with expansive glazing and uninterrupted views toward The Remarkables. For prospective tenants, those views are not simply part of the backdrop, they are a major part of the experience of working in the building.
Our role was to bring that future experience to life before construction is complete.
Using the architectural plans, design information, specified finishes and material references, CAD Studio created a series of highly detailed 3D architectural renders and cinematic animation showing the future office environments as accurately as possible.
To ensure the outlook from each level was equally authentic, our team also captured high-resolution panoramic drone photography and video footage of the surrounding Queenstown landscape. These real-world views were then carefully integrated into the 3D environments, allowing the imagery to represent not only the proposed architecture and interiors, but also the actual outlook tenants will experience from the building.
The result is a coordinated visual marketing campaign designed to help prospective tenants understand the scale, quality, location and atmosphere of Forsyth Barr Tower and to imagine themselves and their teams working there.
More than architectural rendering
Successful off-plan property marketing requires more than producing an attractive CGI image.
It requires an understanding of architecture, photography, composition, natural light, animation, location and, most importantly, how to communicate the strengths of a development to the people who may eventually occupy it.
With more than 20 years of experience and hundreds of commercial and residential projects completed across New Zealand, CAD Studio brings that broader property marketing experience to every project.
For Forsyth Barr Tower, the 3D renders formed the foundation of a much larger visual story. Architectural visualisation was combined with drone photography, aerial video, animation and carefully considered creative direction to show the building within its real environment.
The aim was not simply to show what the building will look like.
It was to communicate what it could feel like to work there.
3D Renders & Interior Visualisation
For a development in Queenstown, lighting and exterior views are critical.
The interiors of Forsyth Barr Tower have been visualised with large areas of glazing, warm natural materials, refined workplace environments and abundant natural light. Beyond the glass, the surrounding landscape becomes part of the architecture.
Our visualisation process carefully balances the interior environment with the real Queenstown outlook so that neither feels disconnected from the other.
Natural light, reflections, material finishes, glazing and exterior scenery all need to work together convincingly. When these elements are handled correctly, the viewer stops thinking about the image as a render and begins to understand the experience of the space itself.
This level of architectural visualisation relies on accurate source information, detailed modelling and years of experience in creating imagery for property sales and leasing campaigns.
Real Queenstown Views
One of the defining elements of Forsyth Barr Tower is its position within the Queenstown landscape.
CAD Studio captured panoramic drone imagery and aerial footage around the development site, including views toward The Remarkables and the surrounding alpine environment.
These real photographs and video sequences were then incorporated into the visualisation and animation process to create a more authentic representation of the development.
Rather than placing the building against a generic mountain backdrop, the marketing shows the project within its actual location and outlook.
For prospective tenants, this provides a much clearer understanding of what different spaces and building levels will offer once completed.
Architectural Animation & Property Marketing
The Forsyth Barr Tower animation takes the project beyond individual still images.
By combining architectural visualisation, real drone footage, detailed interior environments and cinematic movement, the film allows viewers to move through the development and experience the relationship between the offices, balconies, glazing and surrounding landscape.
The animation has been created as a leasing and marketing tool, helping communicate the quality of the development to businesses considering premium office space in Queenstown.
For employers, the environment also forms part of the proposition to future staff: a contemporary workplace surrounded by one of New Zealand’s most distinctive landscapes.
Bringing Future Developments to Life
CAD Studio has been creating architectural visualisation and property marketing imagery for more than two decades.
Our experience across hundreds of developments allows us to look beyond the individual render and consider the complete visual story, what needs to be shown, which features will matter most to prospective buyers or tenants, and how the architecture, location and lifestyle can be communicated before the project exists.
From accurate 3D renders and architectural animation to drone photography, aerial video and complete visual marketing campaigns, our role is to help developers, architects and property marketers turn plans into something people can understand, connect with and ultimately want to be part of.
